Why The PLAN?

A number of years ago, the leadership of the CAS, SOA, and AAA began endorsing, promoting, advancing, and funding special interest social justice advocacy or "affinity" groups based on race, gender and sexual orientation. Many actuaries believe this inevitably put the profession on a path toward race-based divisiveness, unnecessary controversies, and potentially unconstitutional decisions.

The CAS, SOA, and AAA have been giving quite loud a public a voice to these social justice affinity groups through their magazines, websites, meeting content, etc., while being mostly silent about the basic human right to life and to related traditional family values.

The PLAN

We believe The PLAN can be an important social justice advocacy group for under-served populations (pre-born, aged, etc.) and for actuaries who are pro-life,  pro-family, and pro-children. We want to be a group that produces research, white papers, legislative support, etc. to advance the pro-life, pro-family, pro-children cause using the skills actuaries have.
